Course Structure
The course is split into four modules. Each one targets a different part of the OET, so nothing gets left behind. Here’s what’s inside.
Reading
Medical texts can be dense. Really dense. This module helps you cut through that. You’ll build speed and accuracy when working through patient notes, clinical articles, and other materials you’d actually see in a healthcare setting. Skimming, scanning, pulling out key details fast, these are learnable skills and that’s exactly what gets covered here.
Writing
OET writing has very specific expectations. It’s not just “write a good letter.” There’s a structure, a tone, a purpose. This module walks you through all of it. You get templates, practice exercises, and clear guidance on what the tasks actually require. Less guessing, more doing. Wrinting sub-test of the OET is skill-specific and Accordemy® considers that in sample tests that you subscribe for. A nurse will receive tests specifically desinged for their profession a pharmacy for theirs and so on.
Listening
Spoken medical English moves fast, and accents vary wildly. This module uses real audio recordings and targeted exercises to get your ear used to the kinds of conversations, consultations and presentations that come up in the OET. The more familiar it sounds, the less it throws you off.
Speaking
This one trip people up sometimes, mostly nerves. The speaking module uses simulated healthcare scenarios, role-plays with patients and colleagues, pronunciation work, and techniques to help you sound calm and clear even when you’re not quite feeling it. Confidence, basically, but built the practical way. Similar to writing sub-test, speaking is also profession-specific. Sample role-plays resemble the actual test that you will attend and our trained interlocutors will help you get a feeling of how the real exam looks like. Further, the feedback that you receive -depending on your package- will guide you on how to improve and pass the OET in your first attempt.
